Front Seat Backrest Blower Motor: Removal

NOTE: Driver seat shown, passenger seat similar.
  1. Move the front seat to the full upward position.

  2. Depower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering .
  3. Detach the electrical connector retainers and position the wiring harnesses aside.

  4. Detach the backrest cover straps and position the backrest cover aside.

  5. Detach the backrest cover lower J-clip.

  6. Detach the hook-and-loop retainer and position the backrest cover strap aside.

  7. NOTE: To install, gradually alternate the left and right seat backrest cover zippers to prevent damage to the seat backrest cover.

    1. Unzip the backrest cover zipper on each side.
    2. Position the backrest cover upward.
    3. Detach the J-clips from the lumbar wire.

    1. Detach and disconnect the electrical connector.
    2. Detach the retainer and position the wiring harness aside.
    3. Detach the front seat backrest blower motor strap J-hooks.

  8. NOTE: Use care when detaching the front seat backrest blower motor retaining clips from the vent bag or the vent bag may tear from the front seat backrest foam.

    Remove the front seat backrest blower motor.

    1. Detach the J-hook.
    2. Detach the retaining clips.
