Brake Vacuum Pump - 3.0L Power Stroke Diesel: Removal

- Remove the engine appearance cover.
- Remove the nut, the bolt and the turbocharger heat shield.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the right fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
- Disconnect the vacuum control regulator electrical connector.
- Detach and position aside the vacuum tubes.
- Release the couplings and disconnect the vacuum tubes.
- Detach the vacuum control regulator and position aside with the vacuum tubes.
- Remove the nut.

NOTE: The bolts can only be removed with the vacuum pump.
Remove the bolts and the brake vacuum pump.
- Remove and discard the gasket.
