Removal And Installation: Fender: Removal

NOTE: LH shown, RH similar.
  1. Remove the fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
  2. Remove the front fender moulding. Refer to: Front Fender Moulding - F-450/F-550 or FRONT FENDER MOULDING - F-250 F-350 .
  3. Remove the fender insulator.

  4. Remove the bolt.

    Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

  5. Remove the bolts.

    Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

  6. Open the door.

  7. Remove the bolt.

    Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

  8. Close the door.

  9. Lift the corner of the cowl panel grille upward and remove the bolt.

    Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

  10. Remove the headlamp assembly. Refer to: Headlamp Assembly .
  11. Remove the bolt.

    Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

  12. NOTE: Follow the unique instructions or graphic for this step in the installation.

    Cut the foam sealant between the expandable foam baffle and the body.

    Use the General Equipment: Knife

  13. Remove the bolts and the fender.

    Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

  14. Remove any excess debris left on the body.

  15. NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Release the clips and remove the expandable foam baffle.
