Differential Fluid Level Check

Check
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the differential fluid fill plug.
- If draining is needed. Using a general equipment, remove as much fluid as possible from the RDU. Use the General Equipment: Fluid Suction Gun
- Check and top off the differential with clean differential gear lubricant. The differential gear lubricant level should be within 6mm (1/4 in.) from the fluid level fill plug opening. Refer to: Specifications or Specifications - Raptor .
Material: Motorcraft® SAE 75W-85 Premium Synthetic Hypoid Gear Lubricant / XY-75W85-QL (WSS-M2C942-A)
- Install the differential fluid fill plug.
Torque: 38 lb.ft (51 Nm)
