Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM): Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new TCCM when the vehicle was built with engineering part numbers beginning with JL3A-7H417-* OR KL3A-7H417-*. Refer to HVBoM. Limit to Base 7E453 and search "All" categories to determine original build engineering part number.
  1. Using the diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the TCCM following on-screen instructions.
  2. Remove the CJB cover.

  3. Remove and disconnect the lower access panel.

  4. NOTE: The TCCM has slotted mounting holes. It is not necessary to remove the LH TCCM nut when removing the TCCM.

    Loosen the LH TCCM nut and remove the RH TCCM nut.

    Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

  5. Disconnect the electrical connectors and remove the TCCM.
