Pinpoint Test K: P1825:00, P1826:00 And P1827:00

- K1 CHECK FOR TCCM CLUTCH SOLENOID DTCSWARNING: When directed to drive the vehicle as part of this test, drive the vehicle on a hard surface in an area without traffic to prevent a crash. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.
- Ignition ON.
- Enter the following diagnostic mode on the scan tool: TCCM Self-Test.
Are any DTCs present?
Yes For DTC P1825:00, GO to K3 For DTC P1826:00, GO to K4 For DTC P1827:00, GO to K2 No System is operating correctly a this time. IGNORE the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REFER to the Symptom Chart: Four-Wheel Drive Systems - K2 CHECK CLUTCH CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect Transfer Case C350.
- Disconnect TCCM C2371B.
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C350-2 Ground
Is the resistance greater than 10, 000 ohms?
Yes GO to K3 No REPAIR the circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. - K3 CHECK CLUTCH CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?
Yes GO to K4 No REPAIR the circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. - K4 CHECK CLUTCH CONTROL CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Connect Transfer Case C350.
- Connect TCCM C2371B.
- Ignition ON.
Is the voltage approximately 0.2 to 0.4 volt?
Yes REPAIR the circuit. CLEAR the DTCs. No GO to K5 - K5 CHECK TRANSFER CASE CLUTCH
- Ignition OFF.
- Measure:
Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead C350-2 Ground
Is the resistance between 2-6 ohms?
Yes GO to K6 No If all circuits ok, INSTALL a new Transfer Case clutch field coil, For 6R80 : REFER to: Transfer Case - Vehicles With: 2-Speed Torque On Demand Transfer Case . For 10R80 : REFER to: Transfer Case - Vehicles With: 2-Speed Torque On Demand Transfer Case . - K6 CHECK FOR CORRECT TCCM OPERATION
- Ignition OFF.
- Disconnect and inspect all TCCM connectors.
- Check for the following:
- corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
- damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins
- pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary
- Connect all TCCM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly.
- Operate the system and verify the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes INSTALL a new TCCM. REFER to: Transfer Case Control Module (TCCM) . No The system is operating correctly at this time. Concern may have been caused by a loose or corroded connector. ADDRESS the root cause of the connector or pin issues.
