Cylinder Head Temperature (CHT) Sensor: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the RH fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
  2. Disconnect the transmission wiring harness retainers from the stud bolts.

  3. Remove the stud bolts and the heat shield.

    Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

  4. Disconnect the CHT electrical connector.

  5. NOTE: Do not reuse the CHT sensor, install a new sensor.

    Remove and discard the CHT sensor.

    Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)
