  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Vehicle Dynamic Suspension - System Operation and Component Description .

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    VDM U0420:00 Invalid Data Received from Power Steering Control Module "A": No Sub Type Information Sets in continuous memory when the VDM receives invalid network data from the PSCM.

    Possible Sources 

    • Network communication concern
    • PSCM concern

  2. R1 CHECK THE PSCM (POWER STEERING CONTROL MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    • Ignition ON.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, check the PSCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present in the PSCM ' 

    Yes  DIAGNOSE the PSCM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REFER to: Power Steering .
    No  DIAGNOSE the observable symptom. If there is no observable symptom, DISREGARD this DTC.
