Pinpoint Test O : Rear Height Sensor Concern

  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Vehicle Dynamic Suspension - System Operation and Component Description .

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    VDM C1A05:11 Left Rear Height Sensor: Circuit Short To Ground Sets as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC due to incomplete or improper VDM programming.
    VDM C1A05:12 Left Rear Height Sensor: Circuit Short To Battery Sets as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC due to incomplete or improper VDM programming.
    VDM C1A05:64 Left Rear Height Sensor: Signal Plausibility Failure Sets as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC due to incomplete or improper VDM programming.
    VDM C1A06:11 Right Rear Height Sensor: Circuit Short To Ground Sets as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC due to incomplete or improper VDM programming.
    VDM C1A06:12 Right Rear Height Sensor: Circuit Short To Battery Sets as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC due to incomplete or improper VDM programming.
    VDM C1A06:64 Right Rear Height Sensor: Signal Plausibility Failure Sets as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC due to incomplete or improper VDM programming.
    VDM U200E:11 Control Module Output Power B: Circuit Short To Ground Sets as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC due to incomplete or improper VDM programming.
    VDM U200E:12 Control Module Output Power B: Circuit Short To Battery Sets as a continuous memory and on-demand DTC due to incomplete or improper VDM programming.

    • VDM

  2. O1 CHECK THE VEHICLE SERVICE HISTORY

    • Check the vehicle service history for recent service actions related to the VDM.

    Are any recent service actions related to the VDM found? 

    Yes  INSTALL As-Built data for the VDM following the diagnostic scan tool instructions. REFER to: Module Programming .
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been due to incorrect parts replacement procedures or incorrect module configuration.
  3. O2 RECHECK THE VDM (VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL MODULE) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    • Ignition ON.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the VDM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    • Carry out the VDM self-test.

    Is DTC C1A05:11, C1A05:12, C1A05:64, C1A06:11, C1A06:12, C1A06:64, U200E:11 or U200E:12 still present? 

    Yes  INSTALL a new VDM. REFER to: Vehicle Dynamics Control Module (VDM) 
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been due to incorrect parts replacement procedures or incorrect module configuration.
