  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Vehicle Dynamic Suspension - System Operation and Component Description .

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    VDM U0253:87 Lost Communication With Accessory Protocol Interface Module: Missing Message Sets in continuous memory when the VDM receives invalid network data from the APIM.

    Possible Sources 

    • Network communication concern
    • APIM module concern

  2. L1 CHECK THE APIM (SYNC MODULE) MODULE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    • Ignition ON.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, check the APIM module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present in the APIM module? 

    Yes  DIAGNOSE the APIM module Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REFER to: Information and Entertainment System .
    No  DIAGNOSE the observable symptom. If there is no observable symptom, DISREGARD this DTC.
