Pinpoint Test N : The Analog Transmission Temperature Gauge Is Inoperative: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

See Transmission Temperature Gauge. Refer to: Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) - System Operation and Component Description .

If the IPC does not receive the transmission fluid temperature data message or if the transmission fluid temperature data message is deemed invalid from the PCM for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC defaults the transmission temperature gauge to cold (C).
