Pinpoint Test BC : The Trailer Lighting Display Is Inoperative: Notes

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

See Trailer Lighting Display. Refer to: Message Center - System Operation and Component Description .

If the parklamp status, trailer lamp connected, trailer turn indicator status or trailer lamp out messages are missing for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the display to the last displayed state based upon the last message received.

If the parklamp status, trailer lamp connected, trailer turn indicator status or trailer lamp out messages are missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC sets a DTC for the module in question and defaults the associated display element off or blank.
