The message center provides messages to inform the driver to turn the steering wheel to enable the release of the steering wheel lock or of a system fault condition. The IPC receives the steering wheel lock message request from the GWM over the HS-CAN3. The GWM receives the steering wheel lock message request from the BCM over the HS-CAN1.
