Hood Latch: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

NOTE: If reinstalling the original hood latch, mark around the bolts to aid in alignment during installation.

Remove the bolts and position aside the hood latch.
1. Remove the bolts from the hood latch.
  Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
2. If equipped, disconnect the hood ajar switch.
3. Position aside the hood latch.

Disconnect the hood latch release cable and remove the hood latch.
1. Detach the cable from the mounting bracket.
2. Disconnect the hood latch release cable end.
