Muffler Inlet Pipe - Vehicles With: Dual Exhaust System: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. Remove the tailpipe hanger brackets.

    Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

  3. Loosen the muffler inlet pipe rear clamps.

    Torque: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)

  4. Release the muffler isolators and position the muffler and tailpipe assembly rearward.

  5. Loosen the clamp.

    Torque: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)

  6. Remove the bolts.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

  7. Remove the muffler inlet pipe.
