Catalytic Converter RH: Installation

Clean all exhaust connections before reassembly.
Clean and inspect the gasket surface.

NOTE: Make sure that a new gasket is installed.

Install a new gasket.

NOTE: Install the new studs if necessary.

NOTE: Tighten studs in 1-2-1 sequence.
- Install the exhaust manifold adaptor and the studs.
- Tighten the stud 1 half away.
- Tighten the stud 2.
  Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
- Torque the stud 1.
  Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

NOTE: Make sure that new catalytic converter nuts are installed.

NOTE: Tighten Nuts in 1-2-1 sequence.
- Position the LH catalytic converter in vehicle. Install the LH catalytic converter nuts.
- Tighten the nut 1 half away.
- Tighten the nut 2.
  Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
- Torque the nut 1.
  Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

Install the bolt and the heat shield.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Install the transmission support insulator. Refer to: Transmission Support Insulator .
Install the transmission fluid cooler. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Cooler - 2.7L EcoBoost (238kW/324PS)/3.5L EcoBoost (272kW/370PS)/5.0L 32V Ti-VCT .
Install the LH catalytic converter. Refer to: Catalytic Converter LH - Vehicles With: Dual Exhaust System .
Connect the HO2S electrical connector.

Install the muffler inlet pipe. Refer to: Muffler Inlet Pipe .
Connect the HO2S electrical connector and attach the wire clip.

Check the exhaust system for leaks.
