Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Temperature Sensor: Installation

EGR Cooler inlet Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Temperature 11 Sensor

NOTE: Before installing the EGRT (exhaust gas recirculation temperature) sensor apply a light coat of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the EGRT (exhaust gas recirculation temperature) sensor.
Install and tighten the EGRT (exhaust gas recirculation temperature) sensor.
Material: Motorcraft ® High Temperature Nickel Anti-Seize Lubricant / XL-2
Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
- Install the upper intake manifold. Refer to: Upper Intake Manifold

EGR Cooler outlet Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Temperature 12 Sensor

NOTE: Before installing the EGRT (exhaust gas recirculation temperature) sensor apply a light coat of anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the EGRT (exhaust gas recirculation temperature) sensor.
Install and tighten the EGRT (exhaust gas recirculation temperature) sensor.
Material: Motorcraft ® High Temperature Nickel Anti-Seize Lubricant / XL-2
Torque: 32 lb.ft (44 Nm)
- Attach the EGRT (exhaust gas recirculation temperature) sensor wire to the wire retainer and then attach the EGRT (exhaust gas recirculation temperature) sensor electrical connector retainer.
- Connect the EGRT (exhaust gas recirculation temperature) sensor electrical connector.
- Install air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
