Exhaust Crossover Pipe: Removal

WARNING:
When the engine and exhaust system are hot, they can cause severe burns or injury. Turn off the engine and wait until they are cool before removing the exhaust system.
NOTE:
The exhaust crossover pipe heat wrap cannot be reused if removed.
NOTE:

- Refer to: Health and Safety Precautions .
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove front fender splash shields on both RH and LH sides. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
- RH side. Remove and discard the nuts.
- RH side.
- Remove the studs.
Torque: 115 lb.in (13 Nm)
- Remove and discard the gasket.
- Remove the studs.
- LH side. Remove and discard the nuts.
- LH side.
- Remove the studs.
Torque: 115 lb.in (13 Nm)
- Remove and discard the gasket.
- Remove the studs.
- Remove the exhaust crossover pipe support bolts.

NOTE: This step is only required if replacing the heat wrap.
The exhaust crossover pipe heat wrap cannot be reused if removed. If removed, discard the heat wrap.
