Exhaust Crossover Pipe: Installation

- Clean and Inspect the gasket surface.

NOTE: If any part of the crossover pipe heat wrap becomes undone or is damaged during the removal and installation of the crossover pipe, the heat wrap must be replaced. Do not reuse an undone or damaged heat wrap.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
- LH side.
- Install the studs.
Torque: 115 lb.in (13 Nm)
- Install the new gasket.
- Install the studs.
- RH side.
- Install the studs.
Torque: 115 lb.in (13 Nm)
- Install the new gasket.
- Install the studs.

NOTE: Tighten the nuts and bolts in the sequence shown.
Install the crossover pipe, nuts and the support bolts.
- Hand start the RH exhaust manifold nuts.
- Hand start the LH exhaust manifold nuts.
- Hand start the crossover pipe bracket bolts.
- Tighten the RH exhaust manifold nuts in the following sequence: 1, 2, 3, 1, 2.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (24 Nm)
- Tighten the LH exhaust manifold nuts in the following sequence: 1, 2, 3, 1, 2.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (24 Nm)
- Tighten the crossover pipe bracket bolts in the sequence shown.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (24 Nm)
- Check the exhaust system for leaks.
