Fuel Tank Filler Pipe: Removal

WARNING:
Make sure that the fuel tank is no more than 3/4 full.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation steps.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to Jacking and Lifting - Overview
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- Refer to: Diesel Fuel System Health and Safety Precautions .
- Remove the fuel filler door assembly. Refer to Fuel Filler Door Assembly - 3.0L Power Stroke Diesel
- Remove the bracket bolts.
Torque: 27 lb.in (3 Nm)
- Loosen the hose clamps and keep aside the hose.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

Remove the bracket bolt and the strap clip then remove the fuel filler pipe from vehicle.
Torque: 133 lb.in (15 Nm)
