Fuel Lines: Removal

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: Fuel System Pressure Release .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to Battery Disconnect and Connect
- Remove nuts and the engine appearance cover.
Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
- Remove the High Pressure Fuel Pump noise insulator.

NOTE: Some residual fuel may remain in the fuel lines after releasing the fuel system pressure. When disconnecting or removing any fuel lines, carefully drain any residual fuel into a suitable container.
Disconnect the fuel supply line-to-high pressure pump quick release coupling. Refer to Quick Release Coupling
- Remove the bolts and the splash shield.
- Separate fuel supply line from the bracket on the upper transmission bell housing.
- Release the retainer clip on the rear of the transmission and position aside the fuel line.

- Disconnect the front fuel supply tube-to-fuel tank fuel supply tube quick connect coupling. Refer to Quick Release Coupling
- Release the retainer clips.
- Remove the fuel feed line from the bottom of the vehicle.
