Front Brake Flexible Hose: Removal

NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.
NOTE: If the fluid is spilled on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

All vehicles 

  1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the brake hose. Discard the washers.

    Torque

    : 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

    Front wheel drive (FWD) vehicles 

    1. Unclip the wheel speed sensor harness from the brake hose.
    2. Detach the wheel speed sensor wiring retainer.
    3. Disconnect the brake tube fitting.

      Torque

      : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

    4. Remove the brake hose bracket bolt.

      Torque

      : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

    5. Remove the brake hose bracket bolt and the brake hose.

      Torque

      : 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

    Four wheel drive (4x4) vehicles 

    1. Unclip the wheel speed sensor harness from the brake hose.
    2. Detach the vacuum hose retainers and the wheel speed sensor harness retainer.
    3. Disconnect the brake tube fitting.

      Torque

      : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

    4. Remove the brake hose bracket bolt.

      Torque

      : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

    5. Remove the brake hose bracket bolt and the brake hose.

      Torque

      : 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
