Transmission Internal Wiring Harness: Installation

  1. Lubricate the wiring harness bulkhead O-ring with clean transmission fluid and install the wiring harness bulkhead in the transmission case. Make sure the tabs lock the bulkhead in the transmission case.

    Material: Motorcraft ® MERCON ® LV Automatic Transmission Fluid / XT-10-QLVC (MERCON ® LV) (WSS-M2C938-A)

  2. Position the wiring harness and connect the electrical connectors.

    1. Solenoids.
    2. TFT sensor.
    3. TR sensor.
    4. OSS sensor.
    5. TSS sensor.

  3. Connect the selector lever cable end.

  4. Install the transmission vehicle harness connector and lock the transmission vehicle harness connector by rotating the outer shell clockwise.

  5. Install the transmission fluid pan. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Pan .
  6. Adjust the Selector lever cable. Refer to: Selector Lever Cable Adjustment - 6-Speed Automatic Transmission - 6R140 .
