Torque Converter Seal: Installation

- If reusing the original torque converter, use an emery cloth to clean the torque converter hub seal material off of the torque converter hub.

NOTE: Pump shown in illustration removed for clarity.
Using the special tool, install a new torque converter hub seal.
Use Special Service Tool: 307-660 Installer, Front Pump Seal.
- Install the special tools on the torque converter with the pin in the bottom hole.
Use Special Service Tool: 307-651 Bracket, Pump Remover/Installer.
- Using the special tools, install the torque converter.
Use Special Service Tool: 300-OTC1819E 2, 200# Floor Crane, Fold Away.
Use the General Equipment: Mounting Stand
- Install the special tool.
Use Special Service Tool: 307-346 (T97T-7902-A) Retainer, Torque Converter.
- Install the transmission. Refer to: Transmission .
