Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes - 6-Speed Automatic Transmission - 6R100: Installation

- Inspect the transmission fluid tube backing rings and seals for damage and install new backing rings or seals if necessary.
- Seal (7D285)
Material: Motorcraft ® MERCON ® LV Automatic Transmission Fluid / XT-10-QLVC (MERCON ® LV) (WSS-M2C938-A)
- Backing ring (7J324)
- Seal (7D285)
- Install the transmission fluid cooler tubes and the bolt.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Install the transmission fluid cooler tubes bracket bolt.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
- Install the transmission fluid cooler tubes bracket nut.
Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
- Install the transmission fluid cooler front tubes and connect the transmission fluid cooler front tubes retainer.
- Connect the transmission fluid cooler tubes to the transmission fluid cooler front tubes.
- Install the transmission fluid cooler tubes-to-transmission fluid cooler front tubes secondary latches.
- Connect the transmission-to-in-tank cooler tube.
- Install the transmission-to-in-tank cooler tube secondary latch.
- Install and connect the transmission fluid in-tank cooler-to-auxiliary cooler tube.
- Install the transmission fluid in-tank cooler-to-auxiliary cooler tube secondary latch.
- Connect the auxiliary transmission fluid cooler LH tube.
- Connect the auxiliary transmission fluid cooler RH tube.
- Install the transmission fluid cooler tube coupling secondary latches.
- Install the radiator grille. Refer to: Radiator Grille .
- Check the transmission fluid level and adjust as necessary. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Level Check 6-Speed Automatic Transmission - 6R100 .
