Fuel Pressure Control Valve: Installation

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Material: Motorcraft ® SAE 10W-30 Super Duty Diesel Motor Oil / XO-10W30-QSDF (WSS-M2C171-F1)

NOTE: It is recommended to use a crows foot adapter when torquing the fuel pressure control valve and utilizing the torque wrench adapter formulas located in the chart below in illustration. Failure to properly torque the fuel pressure control valve correctly can result in a crank no start or run rough scenario.

NOTE: Lubricate the O-ring seal of the fuel pressure control valve sealing surface with clean engine oil prior to installation.
Hold the fuel pressure control valve electrical connector in the desired orientation and tighten in 3 stages:
Torque:

Stage 1: 44 lb.ft (60 Nm)

Stage 2: Loosen: 90 °

Stage 3: 63 lb.ft (85 Nm)
