Rear Outer Seatbelt Lower Retractor - Vehicles With: Inflatable Seatbelts: Removal

  1. NOTE: Follow the unique instruction or graphic for this step in installation.

    Open the seatbelt tongue cover.

    1. Push the seatbelt tongue lower cover to one side, lift and disengage that side of the cover.
    2. Push the seatbelt tongue lower cover to one side, lift and disengage that side of the cover.
    3. Push the seatbelt tongue lower cover forward to disengage and open the cover.

    Disassemble the lap belt from the seatbelt tongue.

    1. Push down on the lap belt spring clip.
    2. Remove the pin.
    3. Pull the lap belt through the seatbelt tongue cover.

  3. Raise the rear seat cushion.

  4. NOTE: The rear seat cushions must be unlocked to perform this step.

    Raise the rear seat cushions.

    1. Remove the vehicle jack tool kit retainer.
    2. Remove the vehicle jack tool kit.
    3. Remove the rear under seat storage compartment mat.

  5. Remove the rear under seat storage compartment.

    1. Remove the caps.
    2. Remove the nuts.

    All vehicles 

  6. Remove the seatbelt lower retractor cover.

    1. Remove the screws.
    2. Remove the dust boot.
    3. Remove the cover while feeding the seatbelt through the opening.

  7. Remove the bolt and the seatbelt lower retractor.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
