Glow Plugs: Installation

Both sides

NOTE: The use of an 0.3150 in (8 mm) deep socket with no internal shoulder is necessary for removal and installation of the glow plug.

Install and tighten the glow plugs in the following 2 stages.

Torque: Stage 1: 35 lb.in (4 Nm) | Stage 2: 50 deg.

Pull the glow plug electrical connector out of the outer sleeve.

Left side
Connect the glow plug electrical connector to the glow plug and then push the connector down to lock the connector on the glow plug.

Install the left engine sound shield and then install the left engine sound shield retainers.

Install the left fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
Right side
Connect the glow plug electrical connector to the glow plug and then push the connector down to lock the connector on the glow plug.

Install the right engine sound shield and then install the right engine sound shield retainers.
