Disassembly And Assembly: Turbocharger: Disassembly

NOTE:
During the repair or installation of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings and tubes/fittings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove caps, tape and other protective materials prior to installation.
- Protect the bottom sealing surface of the turbocharger and place the turbocharger on a bench.
- With the aid of an assistant, rest the turbocharger on the bench with the turbine outlet side down, remove and discard the turbocharger pedestal bolts and washers. Remove the turbocharger pedestal.
- Remove and discard the turbocharger pedestal gasket.
