- Drain the powertrain secondary cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding
- Remove the bolts and the low temperature thermostat cover.
Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.
- Remove the low temperature thermostat.
