Removal And Installation: Radiator: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Drain the primary cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
  2. Remove the powertrain secondary cooling radiator. Refer to: Radiator .
  3. Remove the upper cooling fan shroud. Refer to: Cooling Fan Upper Shroud .
  4. Remove the lower cooling fan shroud bolts.

    Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

  5. Position the lower cooling fan shroud rearward towards the cooling fan stator.

  6. Pull the upper radiator hose spring clip until the end of the clip is in the detent on the quick connect coupling and disconnect the upper radiator hose.

  7. Pull the lower radiator hose spring clip up until the end of the clip is in the detent on the quick connect coupling and disconnect the lower radiator hose.

  8. Release the clamp and disconnect the radiator overflow hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

  9. Remove the push-pins and the lower air deflector.

  10. Remove the radiator.
