Coolant Pump: Removal

- Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
- Remove the cooling fan drive assembly. Refer to: Cooling Fan Drive Assembly .
- Remove the cooling fan stator. Refer to: Cooling Fan Stator .
- Disconnect the CMP sensor electrical connector and detach the wiring harness retainers.
- Remove the bolt, nut and position the transmission oil cooler inlet hose.
- Inspect the O-ring seal and replace if necessary.
- Remove the stud bolt and position the transmission oil cooler outlet hose.
- Inspect the O-ring seal and replace if necessary.
- Remove the power steering pressure hose bracket screw.
- Remove the bolts, nuts and position the battery cable bracket aside.

NOTE: It may be necessary to use a " drive socket to access the bolts near the battery cable bracket.
Remove the bolts and the coolant pump.
- Remove and discard the coolant pump gasket.
