Cooling Fan Upper Shroud: Removal

Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .

- Remove the pin-type retainer and position the air intake duct aside.
- Remove the retainers and upper radiator sight shield.
- Remove the bolts, release the tab and position the secondary degas bottle aside.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
- Detach the radiator hose retainer from the upper cooling fan shroud.
- Remove the bolt and position the power steering fluid reservoir aside.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
- Detach the fuel cooler to degas bottle hose and wiring harness retainers from the upper cooling fan shroud.

NOTE: During installation verify that the rubber stator seal is positioned fully outside the perimeter of the lower fan shroud.
Remove the bolts and the upper cooling fan shroud.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
