Coolant Pump: Installation

- Install a new gasket.
- Position the coolant pump and install the small bolts. Tighten the bolts evenly.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Install the large bolts.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (24 Nm)
- Position the battery cable bracket and install the bolts and nuts.
Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
- Install the power steering pressure hose bracket screw.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
- Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine coolant.
Material: Motorcraft® Yellow Prediluted Antifreeze/Coolant / VC-13DL-G (WSS-M97B57-A2)
- Connect the transmission oil cooler outlet hose and install the stud bolt.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Lubricate the O-ring seal with clean engine coolant.
Material: Motorcraft® Yellow Prediluted Antifreeze/Coolant / VC-13DL-G (WSS-M97B57-A2)
- Connect the transmission oil cooler inlet hose and install the bolt and nut.
Torque: 1: 89 lb.in (10 Nm) 2: 115 lb.in (13 Nm)
- Connect the CMP sensor electrical connector and attach the wiring harness retainers.
- Install the cooling fan drive assembly. Refer to: Cooling Fan Drive Assembly .
- Install the cooling fan stator. Refer to: Cooling Fan Stator .NOTE: Evaluate the cooling system condition before filling the cooling system. Failure to follow these instructions can damage the engine.
