Valve Cover RH: Installation

Install the RH valve cover gasket.

NOTE: If the valve cover is not secured within 4 minutes, the sealant must be removed and the sealing area cleaned with silicone gasket remover and metal surface prep. Follow the directions on the packaging. Allow to dry until there is no sign of wetness, or 4 minutes, whichever is longer. Failure to follow this procedure may cause future oil leakage.

Apply a 8 mm (0.314 in) bead of silicone sealant.

Material: Motorcraft® Silicone Gasket and Sealant / TA-30 (WSE-M4G323-A4)

- Install the RH valve cover and the bolts finger-tight.
- Tighten the bolts in sequence shown.
  Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

- Position the wiring harness and attach the wiring harness retainers.
- Connect the CMP sensor electrical connector.

Install the PCV tube and connect the quick connect coupling. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .

Install the RH ignition coils. Refer to: Ignition Coil-On-Plug .
Position the transmission filler tube and install the bolts.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors and attach the retainers.

Install the following items:
1. Air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
2. Air cleaner. Refer to: Air Cleaner .
