Steering Linkage Damper - F-250/F-350/F-450/F-550, 4WD: Removal

Position the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
NOTE: Use the hex-holding feature to prevent the stud from turning while removing the nut.

Remove the steering linkage damper-to-sector shaft arm drag link nut.

Torque: 66 lb.ft (90 Nm)

Separate the steering linkage damper from the sector shaft arm drag link. Use Special Service Tool: 211-003 (T64P-3590-F) Remover, Steering Arm.

Remove the steering linkage damper-to-frame bracket bolt and remove the steering linkage damper.
Torque: 59 lb.ft (80 Nm)
