Idler Arm and Bracket: Removal

- Position the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

- Remove and discard the idler arm cotter pin.
- Remove the idler arm nut retainer.
- Remove the idler arm nut.
- Separate the sector shaft arm drag link from the idler arm. Use Special Service Tool: 211-003 (T64P-3590-F) Remover, Steering Arm.
- Remove the idler arm bolts and remove the idler arm.
Torque: 76 lb.ft (103 Nm)
