B-Pillar Trim Panel - Crew Cab: Removal

Upper and Lower B-Pillar Trim Panels 

  1. Release the clips and remove the front door scuffplate trim panel.

  2. Release the clips and remove the rear door scuffplate trim panel.

  3. Position the front door weatherstrip aside.

  4. Position the rear door weatherstrip aside.

  5. Disengage the seatbelt pretensioner boot from the pretensioner bezel.

  6. Remove the pretensioner bezel.

  7. Release the clips, position the seatbelt aside and remove the lower B-pillar trim panel.

    Upper B-Pillar Trim Panel 

  8. Remove the D-ring bolt cover.

  9. Remove the D-ring bolt and position the seatbelt aside.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

  10. Remove the assist handle bolt cover.

    1. Release the assist handle cover retaining tabs. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
    2. Detach the tether clip and remove the assist handle bolt cover.

  11. Remove the bolts and the assist handle.

    1. Remove the bolts.

      Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)

    2. Remove the assist handle.

  12. Release the upper B-pillar trim panel lower clip.

  13. NOTE: The trim panel must be positioned downward to allow the upper clips to release correctly. Failure to follow this may cause damage to the trim panel.

    Slide the upper B-pillar trim panel down, aligning the clips to the slots in the sheet metal.

  14. Remove the upper B-pillar trim panel.
