Off Road Display

The off road display shows the vehicle pitch, vehicle roll and the front wheel turning angle and uses the following network messages to enable and control the display.

Network Message Function
4x4 high/low status Used to display the drive (front/rear) status.
Hill descent message request Used to enable the hill descent icon in the display (on/off) based on driver selection as well as system status.
Stability-traction control on/off message request Used to enable/disable the off road system based on whether the traction control is enabled/disabled.
Steering wheel angle Used to display the direction the wheels are pointed (right to left).
Vehicle speed Used to indicate the vehicle is in motion and to activate the display.
Vehicle pitch angle display Used to display the vehicle pitch.
Vehicle roll angle display Used to display the vehicle roll.
Camera front display status Used to indicate whether the front camera display is on or off.

The IPC receives all messaged inputs from the GWM over the HS-CAN3.

The GWM receives the vehicle speed message from the PCM over the HS-CAN1.

The GWM receives the vehicle roll angle display, vehicle pitch angle display, hill descent message request, stability-traction control on/off message request and the steering wheel angle messages from the ABS module over the HS-CAN2. The GWM receives the 4x4 high low status message from the TCCM over the HS-CAN2. The GWM receives the camera front display status from the IPMB over the HS-CAN2.
