Vehicles are equipped with a 12-volt, maintenance-free battery/batteries.

Dual batteries are standard on the 6.7L diesel engine vehicles and optional on the 6.2L vehicles.

Ford Motor Company strongly recommends that all faulty lead-acid batteries be returned to an authorized recycling facility for disposal.
