Wheel Hubs and Bearings

Wheel hubs and bearings consist of:
- removable rotor from hub on all vehicles.
- cartridge-type hub seal.
- two opposed taper roller bearings supporting the hub.
- ratcheting nut tabbed to a slot on the spindle.
The full-floating rear axle features disc brakes. The disc brake calipers must be removed to remove the rotors and hubs. The hub and rotor are removed as a unit. The hub and rotor can be separated once removed from the vehicle.
Both DRW and SRW hubs feature a cartridge-type seal that must be installed new any time the hub is removed.
The rear hub is supported or floats on the axle spindle on 2 opposed tapered roller bearings. It is retained on the spindle by a ratcheting nut.
