Front Brake Pads - F-450/F-550: Installation

NOTE: Make sure that the brake hose is not twisted when installing the brake caliper or damage to the brake flexible hose may occur.NOTE: Tighten the bottom caliper bolt before tightening the top caliper bolt and make sure the caliper pin boots are correctly seated or damage to guide pins may occur.NOTE: If installing new brake pads, install all new hardware as supplied with the brake pad kit.
- Install the new brake pad clips supplied in the service kit..
- Apply grease supplied with the service kit on all four pad clips surfaces.

NOTE: Protect the caliper pistons and boots when pushing the caliper piston into the caliper piston bores or damage to components may occur.
If installing new brake pads. Use a C-clamp and a worn brake pad to compress the disc brake caliper pistons into the brake caliper bore.
- Ensure both the brake pads are installed correctly as shown.
- Ensure both the guide pins are positioned with the notches facing away from the housing.
- To install, reverse the removal procedure.
