Transmission Support Crossmember: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Support the transmission. Use the General Equipment: Transmission Jack
- If equipped, remove the transfer case skid plate. Refer to: Transfer Case .
- Remove the heat shield bolt, if equipped.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- If equipped. Detach the retainers and position the wiring harness aside.
- Remove and discard the transmission mount support isolator nuts.
Torque: 85 lb.ft (115 Nm)
- Remove and discard the crossmember bracket fasteners and remove the crossmember.
Torque: 81 lb.ft (110 Nm)
