Front Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub - F-250 F-350: Installation

NOTE: Remove any foreign material before installing the bearing cup.
If necessary. Use a brass drift to install the outer wheel bearing cup.

NOTE: Remove any foreign material before installing the bearing cup.
If necessary. Use a brass drift to install the inner wheel bearing cup.
- Lubricate the hub.
Material: Motorcraft® Premium Long-Life Grease / XG-1-E1 (ESA-M1C75-B)
- Lubricate the bearings.
Material: Motorcraft® Premium Long-Life Grease / XG-1-E1 (ESA-M1C75-B)

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Install the inner wheel bearing.

NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.
Install a new front wheel hub grease seal.

NOTE: Use extreme care not to damage the spindle when installing the hub.
Install the front wheel hub assembly.
- Install the outer wheel bearing.

NOTE: Only tighten the nut finger tight at this stage.
Install the new wheel spindle washer and nut.
- Adjust the wheel bearing. Refer to: Wheel Bearing Adjustment - F-250/F-350 .

NOTE: F250 and F350 shown.
Position the brake caliper and anchor plate and tighten the bolts.
Torque: 203 lb.ft (275 Nm)
- Install the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire - Vehicles With: Dual Rear Wheels . Refer to: Wheel and Tire - Vehicles With: Single Rear Wheels .
