Ball Joint: Installation

- Clean and inspect the wheel spindle/wheel knuckle ball joint bores. Use the General Equipment: Vise

NOTE: To avoid damage to components, do not use heat to aid installation.NOTE: The upper ball joint must be installed first.
Install the upper ball joint. Use Special Service Tool: 205-086 (T74P-4635-C) Installer/Remover, C-Frame and Screw., 204-355 Remover/Installer, Ball Joint. Use the General Equipment: Vise
- Install the lower ball joint. Use Special Service Tool: 205-086 (T74P-4635-C) Installer/Remover, C-Frame and Screw., 204-358 Remover/Installer, Ball Joint. Use the General Equipment: Vise
- Install the new snap ring to the lower ball joint. Use the General Equipment: Vise. Use the General Equipment: Snap Ring Pliers
- Install the wheel spindle or wheel knuckle assembly. Refer to: Wheel Spindle - F-250/F-350 . Refer to: Wheel Knuckle - F-450/F-550 .
