Track Bar Ball Joint: Removal

NOTE:
Suspension fasteners are critical parts that affect the performance of vital components and systems. Failure of these fasteners may result in major service expense. Use the same or equivalent parts if replacement is necessary. Do not use a replacement part of lesser quality or substitute design. Tighten fasteners as specified.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the track bar. Refer to: Track Bar .
- Remove the track bar ball joint boot.
- Remove and discard the RH shock absorber lower bolt and flagnut.

NOTE: Use the hex-holding feature to prevent the ball stud from turning while removing the stabilizer bar link nut.
Remove and discard the RH stabilizer bar link upper nut.
- Lower the front axle enough to install a socket on the C-frame screw. Use the General Equipment: Vehicle/Axle Stands

Remove the track bar ball joint. Use Special Service Tool: 204-355 Remover/Installer, Ball Joint., 205-086 (T74P-4635-C) Installer/Remover, C-Frame and Screw.
