Front Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub - F-450/F-550: Removal

NOTE:
Suspension fasteners are critical parts that affect the performance of vital components and systems. Failure of these fasteners may result in major service expense. Use the same or equivalent parts if replacement is necessary. Do not use a replacement part of lesser quality or substitute design. Tighten fasteners as specified.
NOTE:
Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
- Remove the brake disc. Refer to: Brake Disc .
- Remove the wheel speed sensor electrical harness bolt.
Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
- Detach the wheel speed sensor electrical harness connectors and pushpin.
- Detach the wheel speed sensor electrical harness pushpins.
- Disconnect the wheel speed sensor electrical harness connector and position the wheel speed sensor electrical harness aside.

NOTE: Tighten new nuts in a cross pattern.
Remove and discard the front wheel bearing and wheel hub nuts, and remove the front wheel bearing and wheel hub assembly.
Torque: 133 lb.ft (180 Nm)
- Remove and discard the O-ring.

NOTE: Make sure that the wheel hub mounting surfaces are clean and free of foreign material or excessive runout and/or vibration may occur.
Clean and inspect the wheel hub mounting surfaces.
