Rear Muffler: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
NOTE: Install new clamp if necessary.

NOTE: During assembly, make sure the tab is fully seated in the notch on the pipe.

Loosen the exhaust intermediate pipe-to-rear muffler pipe clamp.

Torque: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)

Disconnect the rear muffler isolators.

NOTE: If removing you will need a second person, if not position exhaust aside with a ratchet strap.

Remove the rear muffler tailpipe isolator bolts and remove the rear muffler.

Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
