Dual Catalytic Converter Y-Pipe: Removal

NOTE:
If the exhaust Y-Pipe is not being replaced, the LH and RHHO2S and catalyst monitor sensors do not need to be removed from the exhaust Y-Pipe. Disconnecting the electrical connectors is still necessary.
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Disconnect the LH side HO2S and catalyst monitor sensor electrical connectors.
- Detach the wire retainer and disconnect the RH side HO2S and catalyst monitor sensor electrical connectors.
- Remove the exhaust Y-pipe-to-front muffler bolts.
- Loosen the 2 nuts on the clamp and slide it rearward.
- Remove and discard the RH exhaust Y-pipe-to-exhaust manifold nuts.
- Remove and discard the LH exhaust Y-pipe-to-exhaust manifold nuts and remove the Y-pipe.
