Condenser - 6.7L Power Stroke Diesel: Removal

NOTE:
During the removal of components, cap, tape or otherwise appropriately protect all openings to prevent the ingress of dirt or other contamination. Remove protective materials prior to installation.

- Recover the refrigerant. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging .
- Remove both headlamp assemblies. Refer to: Headlamp Assembly .

- All Vehicles. Disconnect the horn electrical connector and detach the wiring harness retainer.
- Vehicles Equipped With Hood Ajar Switch. Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Vehicles Not Equipped With Hood Ajar Switch. Detach the wiring harness retainer.
- Vehicles With Park Aid Camera. Detach the wiring harness retainers.
- Detach the pin-type retainer, release the clips and position the washer fluid hose aside.
- Remove the bolts, push-pins and the radiator grille bracket.
Torque: Stage 1: 62 lb.in (7 Nm) | Stage 2: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

- Remove the A/C condenser inlet and outlet line nuts and disconnect the fittings.
Torque: 159 lb.in (18 Nm)
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the condenser mounting bolts.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Make sure to cover any open ports to prevent debris from entering the system.
- Remove the A/C condenser inlet and outlet line nuts and disconnect the fittings.
- Remove the push-pins and the LH air deflector.

- Remove the coolant hose support retainer.
- Remove the bolt.
- Remove the power steering cooler bolts.
Torque: 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)
- Position the power steering cooler aside and remove the condenser.
